    Free Processing of Scrap Gold & Metals Refining Requirements

    Orders meeting the below minimum weight requirements will not be charged a processing or melt and assay fee.

    No processing fees for Gold orders processed yielding over 30 grams of Gold.
    No processing fees for Silver orders processed that yield over 1 Kilo of Silver.
    No processing fees for Platinum orders processed yielding 20 grams Platinum.
    No processing fees for Palladium orders processed yield 60 grams Palladium.
    No processing fees for Rhodium orders processed yielding 5 grams Rhodium.

    Orders not meeting the minimum weight requirements listed above for free refining, melt and assay will be subject to the fees detailed below.


    Terms and Conditions for Submitting Refining Orders to Scrap Gold Online

    Customers are required to email Scrap Precious Metal order details to Scrap Gold Online before sending lots for processing. We will reply to your email with a unique order reference number for you to use when submitting your order for processing. Full details for sending in your scrap precious metals order for processing will also be supplied with your order reference number.
    Payment for your recovered precious metals will be made at the appropriate percentage of the market price within 7 working days of final assay results for your order. Payments can be made via Cheque, UK Bank Transfer or in full (or part) in the form of Bullion. Payments in the form of Bullion are subject to availability from our Bullion Sales Department. Bullion in the form of payment is subject to the same over fix costs as Bullion purchases from our Bullion Sales Department. In the event that the preferred Bullion bar(s) or Bullion round(s) requested are not available, we will substitute for Bullion at the same or lower over fix cost as the requested Bullion. Payments in the form of Bullion will be subject to handling and shipping charges (these will be deducted from your payment). Any excess funds in the case of Bullion payments will be remitted via cheque with your Bullion. Rejected material will incur return shipping and handling fees (subject to a minimum charge of £9.35 + VAT return fee).

    Small Order Melt and Assay Processing Fees
    The below fees will apply to refining orders not meeting the minimum weight requirements for free refining. If processing fees apply they will be deducted from your final payment.
    £25.52 + VAT (£29.99) - Melt and Assay Fee for Gold orders under 30 grams Gold yield.
    £25.52 + VAT (£29.99) - Melt and Assay Fee for Silver orders under 1 Kilo Silver yield.
    £29.78 + VAT (£34.99) - Melt and Assay Fee for Platinum orders under 20 grams Platinum.
    £29.78 + VAT (£34.99) - Melt and Assay Fee for Palladium order under 60 gram Palladium.
    £29.78 + VAT (£34.99) - Melt and Assay Fee for Rhodium orders under 5 grams Rhodium.
    Each type of metal submitted for processing constitutes a seperate order.

    The exact weight of material submitted for processing will be determined when your lot is check weighed upon arrival at our premises. Any weight recorded before lot is check weighed and accepted at our premises is deemed as an estimate only. Assay analysis of material is carried out by an independant body using precise methods. The final assay result supplied is binding for the customer.
